Overview

The after-school program is for Puntledge School students (and anyone who is willing to be at the school to meet us).

Times: 2:30pm-5:30pm Monday to Friday following the school calendar. Price: $28/day. We accept Affordable Child Care Benefit and Autism Funding.

This is a program I have been running for several years now.  The children are met each day at 2:30 at Puntledge School by myself or Gabrielle. As much time will be spent outside as possible. We will go outside regardless of weather but of course outings will be shorter in harsh weather and longer in the warmer dryer months. Our aim is to balance out the school day with plenty of fresh air, exercise, forest-bathing, tree-climbing, biking, creek and river exploration, fort building etc.

Although we ensure clear boundaries to keep children safe and together I encourage the children to get a little wild, to free play and to be noisy! I feel its all very necessary after a day in the classroom. 

Once we come home towards the end of the day, we slow down, quiet down and the children are free to relax in the living room, play in the playroom or read / create art in the kitchen etc. 

Parents provide their healthy after-school snacks which we may eat outside or at home.
