Testimonials
Our daughter has attended Little Salmon Preschool and vacation camps with Tallulah Patterson for more than three years. Tallulah came highly recommended by one of our close friends and with good reason. We are particularly grateful for the way she fosters a wonderful culture of gratitude and kindness with children and teaches the value of spending time outdoors, learning about and appreciating nature and physical activity. Another highlight for us would be how Tallulah has taught our daughter about being part of the community, with everything from library visits and watering community gardens, to dropping donations at the food bank.

From the moment you step into Tallulah’s home, you know it’s somewhere special. From her welcoming front yard to her nature filled backyard, it has been a wonderful place to send our son. Tallulah was the first experience our son had in daycare and we couldn’t have asked for a better place! She was so kind and patient as he adjusted to the new routine and within a few visits, he absolutely loved going there. Tallulah has a gift for working with children. They all adore her and truly thrive being treated as little humans capable of independence and adventure. We are so grateful to have our son get to experience such an enriching early childhood education!

I highly recommend Tallulah as an educator, care-provider and overall amazing human being who connects exceptionally well with children and provides meaningful nature/community-based learning experiences. My son has joined her after school care program for the past 2.5 years and loves Tallulah and the community she has built.

I’ve been so grateful to have our son attending Little Salmon. Tallulah is such a kind and thoughtful caregiver. She puts so much effort into making the experience fun and educational for the kids, with so much variety and adventure. Going to Little Salmon has been really positive for our sons growth socially and he is always excited to spend time outdoors with his daycare friends.

Little Salmon with Tallulah has been my two boys’ childcare for five years, and as children always do, they’ve grown into their next stage of independence and are ageing out of the need for care. My boys thrived when they were provided the regular opportunity to be in complete touch with the forest environment around them, especially after a day at school. My boys confidently state that their top three loves were: the dogs, whom they bonded deeply with, being outside and in the forest (where many forts were built and snow slides were created), and getting a long time to eat. As parents it was so nice to know that they had the opportunity to be wild (but not too wild), a space to be calm, and all while in a lovely home with good people all around, all supporting them to grow and be themselves. I will always hope that all children would be fortunate enough to have time in a space like Little Salmon.
