Overview

Vacation camps run from 8:30am-4:00pm Monday to Friday. $55 a day. 

There will be a one week camp at Christmas, a one week camp at spring break, and several two week camps during summer. 

Children love the camps as we get lots of time to experience new things we can not fit into our semester programs.  

General Schedule

8:30-9am is arrival time. 

Around 9:00/9:30am we go on an outing. This might include biking, the river /creeks, forests, town etc…

We come home around 1:00pm for lunch which we will eat outside if the weather is good. 

At around 2:00pm we have our calm time which the kids love! They bring some blankets and bedding from home and find a spot on the floor in the living room and cosy down. They listen to meditation stories designed for children followed by quiet reading time. 

At around 2:45 we all go outside in the backyard to play or just stay inside (weather depending) for free play and art. 

3:00-4:00pm: All children are picked up. 

Field trips: We do at least one ‘field trip’ day per week.  The field trips include taking the public buses and going further afield for the entire day. On these days we go to the pool, to Cumberland, to Comox, the climbing gym, and the youth centre.  Parents pay for admission fees when necessary.
